AO-RA-2B Racon is a new generation of X and S band frequency agile Radar beacon (RACON) can provide an all-weather position for marine radar.
Immediately after receiving a ship's radar pulse, the Racon transmits a
morse-coded signal whose frequency is in accordance with that of the ship's
radar signal, and leaves on the radar display a distinctively coded signal
whose position corresponds to the Racon's.
The Racon uses computer to achieve sidelobe
suppression. Its code length varies according to the range of radar (signal width),
and its power consumption changes under different environmental conditions. the
Racon also has functions of self-check and self-adjustment. Operator can revise
the main parameters of the racon on site.
Feartures:
High transmit power, greater receive sensitivity gives long service range. Side Lobe Suppression (SLS).
Precise measuring main lobe of radar antenna, gives leading line of objects. Built-out adjusting the codes, variable code’s length with radar pulse width. Low power consumption.
Light weight for easy installation.
Can monitor, control and programming using communication port
Built-in AIS AtoN with 21 message (optional)
